NYSwide Organizer The Campaign For Alternatives To Isolated Confinement for the National Religious Campaign Against Torture(NRCAT),Chairperson of the National Action Network NYC Chapter Second Chance Committee. The purpose is to assist the formerly incarcerated men and women as they navigate to reenter society, member of the RAPP (release aging persons in prison) Coalition, Challenging Incarceration Coalition, New York State Prisoner Justice Network, Parole Justice NY and several other Criminal Justice Reform organizations. Victor became involved in the Criminal Justice arena after experiencing and overcoming the many obstacles faced by the formerly incarcerated coming home and striving to regain a foothold on life.
Being involved with and supporting such dynamic organizations such as: CSS(Community Service Society of NY) Correctional Association of NY, The Fortune Society, New York Drug Policy Alliance, in Your Face Movement, New York State Prisoner Justice Network, and The Vera Institute Of Justice. Has traveled to Albany and Washington on many occasions to advocate for Social and Criminal Justice Reform on issues that affects the lives of many across the spectrum of humanity.
Victor has hosted Community Educational and awareness forums on issues related to : Drug Laws, Death Penalty, Incarceration and Reentry, Womens Issues, Domestic Violence, Voting Rights for the Formerly Incarcerated, Political Action and Parole.
Victor Pate continues to be involved in community and issues affecting the community and assisting those coming home making a transition from prison to community.
